BACKUP and RESTORE DATABASE LINKS

Hi,

You can backup your db-links via expdp:

expdp <power_user> directory=mydir dumpfile=mydmp.dmp logfile=mydmp.log content=metadata_only schemas=SCHEMA1,SCHEMA2,… INCLUDE=DB_LINK

 

Then, you can restore it whenever you want

(be careful, if that link exists you must drop it first in order to import:

remember, importing db-links simply runs for every user that have db-link:

create database link <link_name> connect to <target_username> identified by values ‘<HASH_PWD>’ using ‘<TNS_NAME>’;
