Hi,

You must use a sysdba granted user in order to take rman backups.
Let’s assume that its name is rmanuser.
If you decide to change its passwd:

change pwd:
alter user rmanuser account unlock identified by “”;

well, it’s fine. When you change its passwd, passw file will be updated.
But if you move your OS into another location and forget to copy passw file, you must update it:

grant sysdba to rmanuser in order to update passw file:
grant sysdba to rmanuser;

try and pray 🙂
