ORA-28756: callback failure to allocate memory


APPLIES TO

PROBLEM

ORA-29273: HTTP request failed
ORA-06512: at “SYS.UTL_HTTP”, line 1722
ORA-28756: callback failure to allocate memory

OCCURRENCE

Https request using certificate as in:

select UTL_HTTP.request('https://myurl1',null,'file:/mypath1/mywallet1','pass') from dual;


REASON

Certificate’s subject alternative name is too long.

WORKAROUND

Shorten Certificate’s subject alternative name.

SOLUTION

Apply Patch 19697993
